Buy With Confidence
These days people are increasingly comfortable shopping for antiques online without physically seeing the piece. So now, more than ever, you want to buy with confidence knowing that the piece is genuine and has been accurately described and dated.
One way to do this is to know the credentials of the person you are buying from. We suggest you look for a member of the BADA (the British Antique Dealers' Association) or LAPADA (the Association of Art and Antique Dealers). The BADA is the UK’s oldest and most prestigious association.
Establishing a relationship with a knowledgeable dealer is a positive way for you to learn about what you are buying. Their personal service and expertise is something you can’t get from an auction house or antique centre.
Sandy SummersYour assurance of quality and authenticity when you buy from Adams Antiques comes from the knowledge, experience and reputation of Sandy Summers, the owner. Sandy has almost 40 years experience in the antiques business, specialising in Oak and Country furniture.

There is no substitute for the knowledge and experience gained from having examined thousands of pieces of furniture in vetting, and over the course of a lifetime career in the trade.
Sandy is recognised within the industry as one of the top experts in early oak and country furniture, with a reputation for being able to spot clever restoration work and alterations.
She has made appearances on the BBC Television antiques programme "Going For a Song" alongside Eric Knowles.
